Our History
Welcome to the history of our company, a story that began with a captain and his vision to provide reliable bunkering services to the maritime industry. Capt. Can Kıraç was a seasoned sailor with decades of experience navigating the seas and refueling ships. In the year 1993, he decided to put his expertise to use and founded ACM Energy. From humble beginnings as a small operation in a single port, our company has grown into a trusted name in bunkering and lubricants, with a presence in multiple locations around the world. 1977
He graduated from the Maritime Faculty of Istanbul Technical University, which was then called the Maritime Academy.
1975-87
In 1975, while still a student, he started to work in Deniz Nakliyat. In the following years, he made voyages for many international companies, as well as a ocean-going ship captain. In 1986, he obtained insurance expert license.
1987
He started to work as an operations manager and took a land position at Baytur, which belonged to one of Turkey's largest groups,
1993
ACM Energy was established.
1995
Mar Ajans was established.
2002
He was the president of the Turkish Ocean-Going Ship Captains Association.
2005
The bunker delivery license was obtained by Mar Ajans for Exxon Mobil and by ACM Energy for Petrol Ofisi.
2006
We became the authorized agency of Exxon Mobil in Turkey.
2002-2009
He carried out ship-ownership activities, operated the Omerbey, Akasya, Gerda Veste ships and the Energy 1 tanker.
2017
Our first overseas company, Mar Oil, was established.
